About Solar Rooftop
Rooftop or small solar photovoltaic system generates DC power, which is connected to a DC power conditioning unit or inverter and sent to the AC power grid.
A 1 KW rooftop system requires approximately 10 square meters of brightly lit area, but the exact area required depends on the capacity of the solar model. On a sunny day, a 1 kilowatt solar plant can generate 4 to 5.5 units of electricity. Application can be made online at pmsuryaghar.gov.in
